DR. TERROR’S GALLERY OF HORROR (1967) is a low-budget American copy of Amicus Productions anthology DR. TERROR’S HOUSE OF HORRORS. The Amicus Productions film starred Hammer legends Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. GALLERY OF HORROR starred John Carradine and Lon Chaney Jr., both famous in their own right, but well past their glory days. GALLERY was made for only $30,000 and pre-sold to drive-in theaters for a profit. The five stories that comprise the anthology are all in the vein of Eerie Magazine, the inspiration for the film.
